Hello and welcome to Gatehouse Anchor!

As was mentioned last month, I have made a My Space profile for the label, so you can now be our My Space friend at myspace.com/gatehouseanchorrecords. I fixed it up to have the same colors and styles as the main web page here. The My Space page is sometimes a little easier to update, especially with tour dates, and it allows me to host songs from the records in an easy way, so be sure to check that out.

The Hangman's Alphabet has just released their debut album "Unbend the Shape." The CD is out now on Losing Blueprint. Gatehouse Anchor will release the vinyl. The vinyl has taken a little longer than expected but we're shooting for a September release.

The new Now Denial lp, "Facemelter," is at the pressing plant now and the record will hopefully be out soon. The test pressings sounded great and the ok was given for the full run. The breakdown of colored vinyl will be posted wen the lps come in. The cd will be released by Tor Johnson Records out of Providence, RI. The lp is a three way split release between Gatehouse Anchor, Hi From Camp Icarus, and the band.

Aloke just finished recording their second full length in Chicago at Electrical with Steve Albini. Before the full length album drops, Gatehouse Anchor is going to be releasing a 1 sided lp as a teaser for the album. More details will be posted as the record comes together.

Unfortunately, due to some legal mumbo jumbo, Tanks had to change their band name and have re christened the band Roll the Tanks. I know this has been a headache and a half for the band, so we're doing everything we can keep people aware of the change.

There are some new item for sale on the releases page, including the first Now Denial cd/lp which was released on Tor Johnson, and several titles from Losing Blueprint Records, including the full length by Shark and Bear which featured Andrew Wagner, who is now in Hangman's Alphabet.

With all the new Tanks 7 inches I now have and with all the Now Denial lps I'll soon have, I've decided to have a sale to make some room in my apartment. So here is the deal. Two bands on the label, The Kata Atlas and Bastille, are sadly no more. So from now until the time I take this sale down, you can get a Kata Atlas or Bastille 7 inch for just one dollar when you order any other Gatehouse Anchor release! Pick up the new Tanks EP, an Aloke lp, a Sparrows Swarm and Sing lp, or the Tanks and Taxpayer split 7 inch at regular price and include one dollar and your order will include a Kata Atlas or Bastille 7 inch. Just state which you would like in the Paypal "Notes" section!
